Awesome, I didn't even realize it was cool to like them. This means I can finally admit the White Stripes are a load of crap and still retain my coolness.

After the first listen to the new album, I'm not too impressed. The first song is pretty bad. It has one good song, #7, then their is a couple ok songs. Its just kind of an "eh" album. Not horrible but definetly not all that great. I'd probably give it a C-

I personally love the album. My only complaint would be that it's too short.
These guys seem to never disappoint me.

Uh, I'll hijack for a moment to say that Jack White is one of the greatest white minimalist blues guitar players ever. But yes, any song they ever did that got radio play blows.

I don't know what to make of this name your own price thing. I might give it a download here sooner or later.

Agree. I recommend Thrice's new CDs The Alchemy Index Volumes 1 & 2: Water & Fire. In particular "Burn the Fleet", "Digital Sea", and "The Whaler".

Come on guys, I'm not saying this is Ok Computer or The Bends. But it's basically a more accessible version of their post Ok Computer stuff. 15 Step, Bodysnatchers, Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Reckoner are all excellent songs. Kid A was weird but was still listenable when you are in the right state of mind. Amnesiac was a bit of a meh. In Rainbows is probably my 3rd favorite radiohead album right now after Ok Computer and The Bends, and I might actually prefer this one over Ok Computer after a couple more listen.
