I don't know about health. All I know is i'm staying away from him. I'll let someone else reap the benefits if he stages a miracle come back.

I don't know how healthy he is but he had all kinds of health problems last year (I think that he had 4 separate injuries).

I think that the signing of Colon really helps Washburn. Colon will be the stopper and Washburn isn't expected to be their ace. He should bounce back and get more wins with the improved offence but even a best case scenario doesn't see his ERA going below 4.00.

I still like him and he pitched some real gems in August.

I also saw him lose some tough ones when he went head-head againist Oakland and Seattle's best.

I am thinking 13 W, 3.80 , 1.24 WHIP

I am very weary of him. I picked Loaiza up of waivers in April last year and traded him in May for Washburn. Little did I know that Loaiza would have a year like had. I will not touch Washburn for that reason.

I can't see him touching the 2002 stats...plus he's a drain on ERA and whip evben if he does win 18

He didnt have a terrible ERA in 2002(3.77) or whip for that matter(1.21) so i dont see him as one year wonder. What im concerned is about health. Does anybody know anything on that

Personally I would also avoid Washburn. As far as his health goes, he's perfectly fine. Hearing this the Padres have been askin around for a trade of some sort...

Yeah the Tigers are trying to acquire an SP off of the Angels. Inge, Rodney and Cornejo for Washburn was one offer I heard.

I like Washburn for this season because of this reason. I know the Angels have always had a dangerous lineup, but now that they have gotten Vlad and Co. They are even more dangerous and will give Washburn and the rest of the staff more run support. Washburn may still put up a high 3 mid 4 era, but I think his wins will go up alot from last year (even though he was injured)
