Is this cheating- transactions for the last 2 days of the we

Postby FLEX » Sun Sep 23, 2007 9:59 pm

WOuld you call this cheating in fantasy baseball playoffs?
Somone is losing 7-3 and there is 2 days left in the week, they are behind in pitching so they drop players mostly pitchers that pitched and picked up pitchers that are starting Saturday and Sunday. I think its cheating. I would let it slide if it was one player, but to plug in 3 starting pitchers to comeback in the pitching categories is not fair is it? Here is the transaction, all in one night... (Friday night)

It's a legitimate tactic IMO - they're trying to gain some wins & Ks, but at the risk of damaging their ERA & WHIP. As long as they are actually starting the players they pick up, I have no problem with it - but if they are only picking them up to sit them on their bench so no one else can have them, that's a different matter.
If the league isn't happy about someone doing this, then you need to put a maximum transactions limit in place for next year (or make it a weekly league).

Nope, that's a legitimate strategy. If your league doesn't care for it, go to weekly lineup changes next year.

If it's not against the rules, it's a viable strategy. Is he breaking any rule?
