Max Games Played Strategy

Postby Bloody Sox » Thu Sep 20, 2007 9:46 am

Does anyone know how CBS Sportsline handles the "maximum games played"? I know in Yahoo that as long as you have at least 1 game remaining to use at any position, you can play as many guys as allowed at that position and accumulate all those stats. Does CBS do the same? When I looked up help, this is what I found:

"Maximum numbers are calculated each night. Once a team hits a Maximum number, that team's stats will stop accumulating. However, if a team exceeds the max IP in the middle of a day, that team will continue to accumulate stats until the end of the day."

That is very clear for pitchers, but not so much for position players - especially since they say "However", implying that IP is not handled the same as Games Played.

If it is not the same, then how would they know which stats to NOT use if I only had one OF game left, but had three OF playing at the same time?

Thanks

Basically, the second you hit the maximum, you are shut down for the rest of the day, so the rest of the day's stats don't count.

Thanks. So when is a game considered to have been played? At the start of the game or conclusion of the game?

If I have 3 OF all starting at 1 pm and I only have 1 game left, they can't lock me out at 1:05 pm because then I wouldn't get any stats for my last game remaining. So is it the case that as soon as one of my 3 OF games is over that I get locked out (and I get stats for all 3 until they do get locked)?

Thanks again!
