League Names

One league I liked from acouple years ago was "Big'Uns"-a league for the women who have them & for the men who love them.(lol)

my league has just been re-named the lenny dykstra league of nails

we used to be the slowpokes ......because we took forever to finish a draft

Two years ago, my team name was the Rat Batsters, and last yr, I combined another love of mine, Star Wars, with fantasy baseball, and named my squad the Imperial Entanglements. My logo with the logo of the Empire with a baseball in the middle.

Not a funny name, but I must pay tribute to the person my league is named after. Our commish of 15 years died of a heart-attack one night at work....working late by himself. We are now named the Bill Bowser Memorial League. That was 4 years ago. We give his wife and daughter a password to the league website and they log-on to check out how things are going.

He always drank the worst beers, so every draft we lift a toast of a crappy beer to him. He loved the beer Arrogant Bastard Ale.. the stuff is the worst thing you ever tasted.

I am putting forward a motion to change our league name to "The Arrogant Bastards". We;ll see how it goes.

Last year when the unit was hurt we called our league:
Get Well Soon Randy. When he returned to "action" we renamed our league: Unit is Back Baby

I thought about this more over the weekend. First, I considered calling this year's league The Pete Rose Integrity Society. Or maybe just Betting On Baseball.

But I think I might have settled on Don Zimmer Fight Club.
