Yes, dipping into Japan again could be a good thing. I doubt there is any pitchers that would be useful to us, but the SS market this year is a bit dry, and we could use a bit more infield presence. If there is a do it all type of guy like Iwamura available in Japan, I see no reason why we pass on him if the price is right like Iwamura was. Having too much depth is not a bad thing and with our minor league bats drying up fast(really on Brignac and Longoria can have an impact in the next year or so), we could use the depth.

Which is the exact same thing I said. Locking up Kazmir needs to be our most important offseason maneuver.
As far as Guzman, his glove is not great. He could become useful in the OF, but the playing time there will be sporadic. I still think Guzman could be a serviceable player but not in a part time role, and with our outfield loaded, the PT would be part time.
