Kazmir also will become our first pitcher in history with 200 Ks in a season tonight.
As far as Pena goes, he at one time was a very good prospect in the minors. He wasn't a Delmon Young, Alex Gordon type, but was a prospect that could be a 35 home run a year hitter. As far as locking him up at this time, I don't think that should be high on our end of the year list of things to do. Locking Kazmir up should be first along with getting some help for the pen for next year and getting some depth at C and maybe even the OF. We really don't have very many tradeable commodities this offseason so most of our deals will have to be free agent signing. Heck maybe our Iwamura signing lets us go into Japan again and sign another player.
