KU isn't going to return to a BCS bowl next year. They will most likely win enough games to be bowl eligible, but they seem to have caught lightning in a bottle this year. Similar to what Rutgers did last year, and what teams like Boise St., Fresno St., etc, have done in the past.

Kansas will not return a BCS bowl, but they're definitely not lighting in a bottle either. They are a very good team which is well coached and has the capability to compete in a weak division (big 12 north) for years to come. Missouri is the more talented team, but I think Kansas is better coached. Should make for some very interesting battles between the two teams for years to come.
