MLB suspended RHP Joba Chamberlain two games for throwing at Kevin Youkilis during Thursday's game against the Red Sox.
Well, it doesn't make a lot of sense to us. If the league really feels Chamberlain threw twice at Youkilis' head on purpose, then two games is nothing. If it doesn't, he shouldn't be suspended at all. We didn't think it was intentional, but several members of the New York media are trying to spin it as though it was a message to the Sox. If so, it's a pretty disgusting development. We're not sure what Youkilis did to the Yankees, but he shouldn't lose his career over it. Chamberlain apparently will sit out the next two games, which he was going to do anyway.
From Rotoworld.
He was going to sit the next couple games anyways, so it didn't really matter. He shouldn't have even been ejected in the first place. I don't understand how you can throw him out without giving a warning, even if it was intentional.
