ive seen tons of threads on positional players and their range factors, balls out of zone, etc... where are all the sabermetric statistics for measuring a catcher's defensive ability. we all know that base stealing is more on the pitcher than the catcher, and errors arent made too often by catchers. is there some way of calculating a formula for how well a guy is calling a game, blocking the plate, etc..?
I wouldn't say that SB is more on the pitcher. They can give the base away or give the catcher a shot but I still think most times it is on the catcher.
