So the Reds are playing a doubleheader today and Hamilton is on the bench for the first game, pinch hitting and then back to the bench. Second game just started and he's on the bench again - what gives? Is he hurt or something? In the doghouse?

I am guessing its bc they faced 2 lefties, but I feel your pain. I started him too thinking he would play in at least one of the games.

Exactly. How's he supposed to improve? Not only that, while Hamilton was on the bench, other Reds players just played two games. Ridiculous.

Not a good week to play Hamilton. Lotsa lefties. And the guys the Reds used to replace him have ONLY like a .400 combined batting average this month.

He should be good to go for the rest of the week from a R/L perspective. He faces Snell tonight, Morris tomorrow, and then the Reds face the Cards who don't currently have a lefty starter.

Whether or not he continues to lose time to the other players is another question. It's not like Hamilton's been stinking it up, though.
