scutaro; the strangest injury

Postby BitterDodgerFan » Tue Aug 28, 2007 7:29 pm

saw this on yahoo and thought it was rather strange:

Aug 28 Scutaro (vertigo) returned to the A's lineup on Monday, the Contra Costa Times reports.

Recommendation: A planned MRI on Scutaro's head failed when Scutaro became claustrophobic, and there's still a chance this problem could linger for a bit longer but he's back in the lineup for now and should continue to be a regular with the injuries to Bobby Crosby and Donnie Murphy.

i actually had this guy as a super utility on my roster not long ago.

For a utility guy he had a great August and with all the injuries for the A's he gets more playing time then any other bench player i know. As an A's follower I can say this is the first time he has experienced this vertigo feeling. Vertigo can be a frightening thing though. They gave him some drugs last week to counter the effects but after he took one dose he stopped because it knocked him out for almost 24 hours.
"I was seeing everything in slow motion," Scutaro said. "I was there, but I felt like I wasn't there."
