Left todays routing(thus far, man the yanks suck :-b ) in the 3rd inning

didnt really see what happened, but announcers said its a left wrist sprain. though it wasnt bad enough that he had to leave the game right then. stayed in and scored, but Quinlan came on for him to play 3b the next inning.

hopefully he wont be out long..

EDIT: wow, GA just hit a granny. 10 RBIs!!! WOWOWOW THE ROUT IS ON
ummm lets go angels? :)

thank goodness it wasn't his legs. as long has he doesn't go on the dl and even if his wrist injury makes his average come down, he'll still get on base and do what he does best - steal bases.

he did it on a check swing by the way, so it likely isn't too bad.

It's the check swing that'll get your wrists the worst. I need him and I don't like the sound of hurting wrists on a check swing...

i dunno if its the worst its a hell of alot better than getting plunked straight in the wrist by 95 up and in. i think he will be okay, wont miss much time if any and will be back to form. like the guy said earlier, the legs are fine so even if hes a bit rusty cause the wrist is sore its hard to keep speed in a slump for long. as was proved by figgys season earlier in the year

from yahoo:

Aug 23 Although Figgins (wrist) has a bone bruise but not a fracture or tear in his ligaments, he'll likely miss "several more games," the LA Times reports.

Recommendation: Figgins sat out Wednesday's loss to the Yankees, with Maicer Izturis starting at third base and Reggie Willits batting in the leadoff spot in his place. Figgins' wrist has been bothering him for about a month now, but the pain was much sharper on Tuesday night.

dont like the "several more games" statement. what the hell does that mean? 4 or 20?

From rotoworld:

Chone Figgins (wrist) felt discomfort when he tried to play catch Friday, and it's appearing more likely he'll be sidelined past Monday
The speedster has been out since Tuesday because of a bruised right wrist. He's a bit of a gamble for week 22 in fantasy leagues because of his uncertainty.

Geez! this stinks. I'll have to rely on Kendrick. Although Vidro has been solid for me.
