Maybe make the season a little bit shorter so it's not too long for the teams that make it to the World Series. Wouldn't that bring more excitement and bring in more profit for teams and the MLB?

It would bring in less profit across the board and that is why it will never happen. No owner is going to vote to cut 2 weeks off the season. They would lose the revenue from home games and generate no extra revenue by starting the playoff earlier.

Then how about if they just extended the playoffs and kept the 162 game schedule? Or does that just mess with everything and make it too long?

If you extend the playoffs two weeks the World Seris wouldn't be until the middle of November.

A-Rod is hands down in the AL but it's the NL that gets interesting. Hanley Ramirez? Reyes? Holliday, Wright, Pujols? It's wide open.

I think I've said that I'd take Lincecum over Hughes in a fantasy league pre season. If I'm a real gm, I'll take Hughes, but NL West teams just can't hit and that makes a huge difference.

A 5.29 ERA 1.39 Whip and a .313 BAA since the AS break. Blanton has been very Joe Average.
