What is the feeling on Gallardo for the rest of the season?

He was pretty impressive his first 10 or so appearances but horrific the last 2. Is he worth picking up?

struggling lately

Id watch him tonight against Zona and if he has a good outing Id consider grabbing him

he pitched great against Arizona earlier this year (6 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs)

Hard to say what the Brewers will do with him down the stretch. I suspect they'll be cautious in terms of workload. In addition, if he keeps struggling, I doubt they'll keep trotting him out there to get shelled. If Sheets comes back as planned -- late August now -- that'll further complicate things.

they pushed Capuano to bullpen today...cause he blows but also preparing for Sheets comeback. should solidify Gallardos rotation spot...that and he shutdown the hot hitting D-backs big time.

I don't know if I'd say "solidify". I guess for the time being that's true, but I think they're going to watch his innings and it's possible he could be shut down and/or moved to a reduced role in September. We'll have to see. They just moved Villanueva down to AAA to pick up a couple starts and stretch him out. It's possible he could move into the rotation to save Gallardo's innings. Or Capuano could move back in with some good bullpen appearences.
