when are the Yanks not interested?

Usually when other teams don't artificially push them into the negotiations. :-?

Well, I guess the Padres decided they might as well make Peavy's arm go flying off:

Aug 21 Peavy will start on Wednesday against the Mets, according to the North County Times.

Recommendation: This move keeps him on four days' rest, despite Monday's team off day. The Padres have now done so twice in the last two weeks. Look for this plan to continue down the stretch. At some point, Peavy could even be summoned on three days' rest.

Not only do I have Peavy as one of my 5 keepers but I have prime tickets for Thursday night's game at Shea; was looking forward to Peavy vs. Glavine. Oh well, at least it's free drawstring tote bag day :-? :-C

Just pitch and shut up Peavy. Worry about it when the time comes.
