Anyone know why he came out of tonight's Oakland-KC game? Brown's playing right field now. Where'd Teahen go?

hyper extended elbow. does it matter though, i know he's hitting .313 this month, but he's been such a let down this whole year.

Maybe so, but some of us have him on our team. He's a backup for me and with 1B/3B/OF eligibility - it makes him more valuable.

Thanks for the injury update....and the dumb comment :-{

i was simply making editorial statement, just as you did about his value. he's a back up for me too. i was hoping for more from him this year and don't get too many chances to state my disappointment as his play this year hasn't warranted too many posts.

too make sure i keep in the spirit of the forum - he says he feels like a million bucks. i hope that million bucks buys a little production for the last 5 weeks of the season.

Recommendation: There's no reason to expect him not to play, especially with this series in Chicago determining fourth and fifth places in the AL Central.

Thanks for the useless recommendation. Just what we need... a wise ass writer for Rotowire...

Rotoworld 8/22/07:

Mark Teahen aggravated an elbow injury while taking batting practice prior to Tuesday's game and could be headed to the disabled list. Teahen was scheduled to return to the lineup after sitting out two games, but is now expected to undergo further tests Wednesday.

I dropped him for Aubrey Huff...yeah...at least he's got the same eligibility.

Teahen on the DL

Mark Teahen: Expected to Land on DL
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com

Update: Teahen will go on the 15-day disabled list after tests found a strained muscle in his hyperextended elbow, the Kansas City Star reports.

Recommendation: He is expected to return sometime in early September. Emil Brown and Shane Costa should split time in right while he's out. The team is expected to call up a pitcher, probably prospect Billy Buckner, before Friday's game.
