depends on the severity of the strain, but hip flexor isnt a serious injury...back in my fball days i had a strained hip flexor and while it hurt at times, i didnt miss practice or esp the game...and after 1 week of icing it, it was totally gone...of course if el Caballos strain is more severe, could miss some time.

shawshank i think your right...the hip flexor isn't too bad...they can definitely trouble you at times (i remember them from HS football too) but if you stretch them out real good the pain really subsides quickly..i wouldn't get too worried if I was a C-Lee owner...I dont see him missing significant time..most likely a week...MAYBE 2
Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?

During the next week or two a lot of us Carlos Lee owners are in the playoffs, and you're telling us not to worry?

my playoffs don't start until september 3rd which gives Lee over 2 weeks to recover from this injury...If you're going into the playoffs in August, I question your league format...

Anyone have any further news on Lee's injury?

He did pinch hit in the 9th inning today.

Would you start him or Butler in a weekly lineup???

the pinch hit was a good sign...if they thought it was anywhere near DL type injury, they wouldnt have put him in for a PH, in the chance that it would just push DL start date 1 day later.

i bet by Wednesday he is back in Left Field. maybe just PH duty till then. all my guessing...no real source. but from everything ive read its DTD...

Found this on rotoworld:

Carlos Lee, who strained his left hip on Saturday, expects to return to the starting lineup Monday.

``I'm going to give it a shot,'' said Lee, who pinch hit in the ninth inning Sunday. ``I'm going to get treatment and go out and run. I can swing. It doesn't bother me to swing at all. I don't want to be out there if I'm not close to 100 percent. You put the team in position where they're playing short. I'll do my best for (Monday) and hopefully I'll feel good.''
