Yeah...he has pretty much struggled at various points during his entire carrer.
When he is on, he is a filthy lefty. He has tremendous velocity for a lefty and a good slider.
He is an enigma. At some points during his stay in Pittsburgh I thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then in other starts he would struggle to hit 91mph and give up less then 6 runs.
Imho, the Mets have a good upcoming schedule. Low scoring teams on the horizon: SD, LA, CIN, HOU, WAS x2. There are some high scoring teams too like PHI, ATL, FLA. This might be an opportunity to spot start Perez.
