e santana just pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball vs the boston red sox after being called up

the most amazing part is, he pitched on the road.

is he worth a roster spot, considering how horribly he pitched before he was sent down? Any chance he worked out the kinks in the minors?

I am considering dropping Matt Cain or Matt Garza my spot starters for him

Of course. When I saw Lackey was pitching the first game, and Santana was going against Beckett, I was happy!! Thought Beckett would get a W for sure!!

I wouldn't drop either of those guys for him. Santana was good last year, so he might have worked out his issues in the minors. His off speed pitches were fantastic tonight!!
