Need help from a CBS commish

Postby captoats85 » Fri Aug 17, 2007 1:06 pm

My commish corrected my lineup for me, and the guys that were supposed to be in there are now in there. However, it doesn't reflect in my scoring this week like it should. Anyone know why not?

From CBS about correcting lineups:

""Yes! Go to the My Team, Set Lineup page, and select the team whose lineup you wish to edit. You may edit the upcoming lineup for a team, or select past scoring periods to make changes retroactively. To make moves carry forward, you must make changes to the upcoming roster."

What does that last line mean?

I'm not a CBS commish, but that line means this. If your commish retroactively changes your roster to activate certain players, those players won't necessarily be active for, say, tomorrow's games. It is just contrasting the fact that if you activate certain players for a future date, they will be in the active lineup for all days after that, unless you change one of those days.

For example:

8/12 lineup
Active- Players A,B,C,D,G,H
Bench - Players E,F

8/17 lineup
Active - Players A,B,C,D,E,F
Bench - Players G,H

Unless you specify the lineup for any dates after 8/17, players A-F will be active and players G-H will be benched. If you set the lineup for 8/18 as:

Active - Players A,B,G,H,E,F
Bench - Players C,D

All dates after 8/18 will have that same configuration. However, if your commish goes back and changes the lineup for 8/12, all the lineups from 8/17 on will remain the same. You need to make changes to a future date to do the "auto-update" as in the case of making a lineup change for 8/18.

Hope that wasn't too confusing, it might be....

That still fails to explain why the retroactive changes aren't reflected in the current point total, right?

Yea, sorry I forgot to mention that I have no idea why that didn't update yet. If it's a weekly league, maybe it won't get updated until the end of the week? Just a guess...

If it doesn't clear up automatically, have your commish contact CBS support and explain what lineup your team was supposed to have on each date and they should be able to fix it retroactively. They've been very responsive and helpful in my league with problems like this.
