Any news on big Papi?

So what's everyone's take on Papi the rest of this season and the next? I read an earlier Boston article, Papi himself said during an interview "I'm gettin gold." Do you think he was kidding or is he on the decline?

The thing with Ortiz is he is battling an assortment of injuries. Injuries most players, especially position players would require time off. But hes a gamer and he knows how important he is to the team. Hes going to require surgery in the offseason to fix his knee. Hell stay in the lineup with occasional time off for the rest of the season. His power numbers are down because he isnt able to put a lot of weight on his bad leg. Hell still hit .300 cuz hes a good hitter, and in the Sox lineup hell put up good numbers. Just not a lot of homers. The last few games hes had a bunch of wall balls and close calls. If he were healthy they would be long gone. He'll be fine next year, but this year hell pretty much do the same thing hes been doing all year.

Hes not even that old. He likes to joke around with the media.
