Glad to see your still alive. How is your vision now?
My wife had it done like 6 years ago and she is still 20/20 or close to it. I didn't fret about this at all but now that its about 20 hours away its starting to hit me!
I had mine zapped in 2000 and haven't had any problems at all. Definitely one of the best investments I've made. I could see a bit of a "halo" around some lights at night which lasted for a few months. They had told me to expect that though. That was a long time ago and my vision has been 20/20 since. I've almost forgotten what it was like to wear glasses now. Sweet!

I envy you. My eyes are so screwed up they don't have a surgery that will fix them. The last time I went to the eye doctor she said that at the current pace of advancement in the eye surgery field they might have something in 15-20 years. Though...by then I'm sure my eyes will have gotten worse and whatever they come up with won't help.
Anyway, if I could, I would have the surgery in a second.

I spent way more than I could afford but it got me completely custom PRK surgery, similar to LASIK with longer healing time, with one of the best surgeons in the world and my eyes went from 20/400 pre-surgery to 20/12 now.
Hey guys, so I'm alive and 20/20 or better! I'm glad I did this, very much glad I don't have to mess with glasses anymore.
The experience was EASILY one of the wierdiest things I've ever done. You can see everything they do. You can see them cut and lift the "flap" and then put it back on....creepy!! But it only took like 5-10 minutes an eye and I was done. Once the "deadener" wore off, my eyes iched and burned like crazy for about an hour or two before I could go to sleep. The worst part about that was not being able to rub my eyes. Your not suppose to rub your eyes for a month.... ugh! After that though, I've had no problems whatsoever....knock on wood! Doesn't burn or hurt other than that short period after I got home.
Anyway, I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about taking the plunge!
