Yep. I'm not a fair-weather fan, but I was livid when the Cards didn't do something at the trade deadline to sell out on this season.
how about duncan swinging on third strike...the catcher drops it and Dunc just watches it for a couple secs then runs!
or ankiels slide. he is coing home and the throw beats him as he slides...but he just did like a belly flop instead of a slide and he died about a foot short of home. Meanwhile the catcher drops the ball and he just reaches through his legs to touch home!

I agree with this whole thread but I also give a lot of credit to the starting pitching. I mean it seems like 2 runs is the maximum they have given up in a long time. I know thats not true but they have been pretty not cruddy anymore for a while now
"-Edmonds and La Russa got into a heated argument about playing time a week or so ago (don't know if anyone knows this)"
do you visit bernies pressbox?
also Rolen and TLR apprearently hate eachother still (though they havent talked about it in a while)
and eck seems like he hardly ever plays
and we cant over look Ludwick and Ryan either.
I would take Ryan/miles over Eck/kennedy (this year) anyday. Miles should just completely suck but he is just one of those guys who seem to come up with hits
You are right, the SP is really the true reason why the Cards have gotten hot. How many quality starts in a row have there been now? Every game it seems whoever is starting is actually getting the job done, and that was certainly not the case earlier in the year.
And yeah I heard the Edmonds story on Bernie's Pressbox. I don't think that the story has gotten out anywhere else, I only know that Bernie posted it. Weird that Rolen and La Russa are still feuding, I really thought that ended a while ago.
Ryan is playing well, surprisingly. Maybe he's even got a shot at that 2b/ss job next year...
"Oh, that Lankford and McGee, the trio of 'em. They're a one-man wrecking crew."

Not sure about how many QS in a row but I heard on the radio that 11 of the last 12 starts have been QS.
