From Rotoworld just now:

Shane Victorino (calf) pulled himself out of a rehab game with Double-A Arkansas on Tuesday night.

Victorino felt "something grab" as he tried to run-out an infield grounder. He will be examined by team doctors on Wednesday and won't return from the disabled list Friday as expected.

Damn - this blows

That sure does blow.

In one of my leagues, I traded him and Rivera for Ham Ram. At the time I was questioning whether it was a good move... Ham Ram got injured that very week. But Ham Ram came back strong, and Victorino got injured shortly afterward, so I lucked out. In my other league, I can't complain about the production I did get out of him, considering that I picked him up off waivers...

All and all, he was someone I picked up off waivers in both leagues, so I can't complain. He was a steal while I had him! Just trying to figure out when its time to cut losses. Guess I will keep him just in case, for a playoff run, since I have the DL spot now. (Knock on wood - hmm. Better not do that, he's pretty fragile. Lol).

:-t

I really would've liked to have had him back for the stretch run. Hopefully its not too serious.

Can anyone confirm... does this seem like the sort of injury that is going to make it difficult for him to steal bases when he does get back?

Philly certainly makes it easy for me to use my DL spot. Shane off, Cole on. :-/

Well. he came in to pinch hit the other night, drew a walk and also picked up a stolen base, so maybe he'll be back amd running from here on out???

Victorino Update - not good... Can I make a request, toast, if your still keeping track of this thread? Can you edit your post, and take out the "not good". Everytime I see it in my inbox I have a heart attack. Lol.

Thanks.

If hes not keeping track, maybe going forward, someone can create another thread for Victorino...
