Brian Fuentes Update

Found the below copy and paste on Rotoworld tonight. It is dated 8/14/07 at 9pm.

Fuentes is certainly no lock to regain the closer's role at any point over the rest of the season, but it could happen if Manny Corpas begins to struggle. In the meantime, the Rockies will ease him back into a setup role.<

I have Manny Corpas so this is good news, but I am thinking about picking up Jeremy Accardo or C.J. Wilson. Wilson has been amazing lately and is racking up Saves. Corpas has just 2 Saves since August 2nd. Wilson has 5 Saves since August 1st.

Over the past month Accardo has 11 saves and 2 ER. I'd take him over the other 2. In fact, at no point since Accardo got the closer job would I have put Corpas or Wilson in front of him as far as value. Not to mention there's been no talks of anyone else threatening to take over the closer role in Toronto, so he should be entrenched in that spot the rest of the year.
