What's the best job you ever had and why?

Postby pjalst » Sat Aug 11, 2007 12:21 pm

I'm a police office and I can't see myself doing anything else. Each day is different so you never get bored. You're not stuck behind a desk watching the clock all day. I drive around in a car alone , so I'm my own boss for the most part. I don't work in a crack infested neighborhood so I'm pretty much stress free. Yes it's dangerous and you never know when the s#!+ will hit the fan, but I'm an adrenalin junkie so I don't mind. Not to mention chicks dig guys in uniform, so if a woman is interested she will let you know. what's you favorite job.

My current job is pretty much the job I've wanted to do since I was a teenager.

I work in radio, doing the morning news, then host a talk show, and do play by play for our sports coverage.

Lighten up, of course there are other reasons to like the job. I just didn't want to get too wordy.

He's a cop he doesn't know how to relax.

It's funny you say you enjoy it. I know several cops who hate it. After awhile it becomes a burden. They work for the LAPD, so maybe that has a lot to do with it. They hate the hours, it's a burden on their family who never gets to see them. They become desensitized to a lot of things, etc.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

I'm sure assignment has a lot to do with your stress level. I work in upstate NY, I'd eat my gun if I worked in NYC, but I'm sure some NYPD officers love what they do and some are stressed. Either way I have a lot of respect for officers that work in Hi crime areas.
