I know about his foot problems and all but the incredible slump that Troy Glaus has been in defies description. Since July 16 his average has declined from .296 to .247, going 8 for 78 (0.103) in that time with 1 HR and 7 RBI.

What do others think might be the problem and will he come out of it? Is there anyone out there still starting him? FYI, he's on my bench but I could really use an average Glaus right now.

BTW, I know his career average hovers around .250 but his power is way down on where it has been the last two years.

He's been the worst player on my team, and its a deep deep 12 man league with nearly 30 roster spots.

Thats how much he sux this year. Only way I draft him ever again is if he gets hot and takes me to the fantasy championship.

Honestly one would have to think those stats are a joke. They're really proof of some of the most pitiful production from an established veteran in recent years. Yet owners like me are destined to hold on to him hoping he regains that power stroke. I'm also in a deep 12 team league (25 man rosters), so I have to keep him, even if it's just for bench fodder.

Any guesses on how much longer this can realistically last? My guess is he figures to keep tinkering for the remainder of the season with thoughts on 2008, which of course means diddily poop to fantasy owners this year.

I dropped him last week. Now watch as he hits .432 and 4 hrs.

I hope so - I benched him last week, but, started him this week (he plays 7 games)...it was him or Casey Blake (4 lousy games)... :-P

i saw him play last week against the yankees and in all three games he looked foolish. i just picked up freddy sanchez (hitting over .400 in august) and benched glaus until he figures out how to hit again.
