I wouldn't veto, but I don't like to veto much...

Probably a veto. Holds or no, Okajima is only a relief pitcher. He can't be as valuable as a top 15 hitter. I could see why some would say no veto, but holds guys just aren't rare enough to warrant such an extreme return.

It all depends ... how are these guys doing in categories, who does the guy trading Fielder have to replace him, etc? In a 16 team league, holds guys are a bit more rare - considering there's only 16 MLB teams with an above .500 record and Okajima might be the best on one of the best teams...

I have a VERY high threshold for vetoes, but I think this might be over it. There's no way that the guy trading Fielder couldn't have gotten a LOT more than Okajima. Anyone in their right mind would have traded Fielder + "something less" for Okajima + "something more".

I understand your logic and mainly agree with it but he is not only a holds guy. Employing stud MR in any league, let alone 1 with holds as a cat, is a good way to build a stud SP. His ERA is excellent and his WHIP is amazing. The only question to me is how Boston will use him. Since the Gagne trade, they have really messed up the chemistry of the bullpen.
