Ah...well this is a 12 team H2H. So that might be where the difference is. I would rather having Buerlhe as well if I was in need of pitching.
i can see you are frustrated so i will give you the obvious scoring key berrlee > melkee = crazy to veto berrlee >> melkee = no veto berrlee >>> melkee = possible veto, could go either way berrlee >>>> melkee = veto berrlee >>>>> melkee = definite veto
whoever is offering up melkee is trying to cash in on a mediocre, replaceable player who just had a decent enough week to have his name inserted into various articles about picking up hot players for spot starts. the owner offering up melkee knows this and also knows berrlee is quietly putting together a respectable season after the great no-hitter start that another owner may overlook due to his bad start this week and 1 bad start a few weeks back. my advice to the owner of berrlee is, you're giving up way too much, the deal is awful. either look at FA market, or other trade possibilities, or offer up something much less to the melkee owner if you really want someone who platoons and usually sucks.

Thank you for your opinion. This deal has already been put through as only a small minority felt the deal was vetoable.

Um...no actually he hit .368 in the June and currently hitting .405 in Aug. I would say thats a bit more than a decent enough week.

no veto
exactly ... I scooped Melky off the wire and watched him go on a 17 game hitting streak. Playing every day in that Yankees line-up isn't a terrible thing. Sorry to say, but Buerhle is an average pitcher. No way this deal should have been vetoed and I'm glad to read that it went through
