I was just reading a little article they had about him in the newest ESPN, and I finally had enough of how underrated this guy is. He was the NL leader in K's last year and I think was tied for the league lead in wins. He is definitely a top 10 fantasy starter at this point. I guess it's just because he plays for the Reds but come on this guys a stud.

Yeah...he pitched a gem tonight.

I drafted Aaron Harang because I got good value in relation to where I picked him. Harang's record is a sparkling 11-3. His Era is 3.57.

Harang is 3rd in the NL in Stirkeouts.

Problem is I have to set my lineup every Sunday and I benched him this week because of his last start where he got hurt. :~(

Harang also led the majors in complete games last year (6).

I agree about Harang being underrated...I also put Lackey in the underrated category, but he's doing his best to shed that label this year.

Just curious...

Where did Harang get drafted in your league(s)? I took him in the 9th round with the 96th pick. He's cleary outperformed a lot of SP taken ahead of him including Oswalt, Kazmir, Bonderman, Dice-K, Willis. Even some others are arguably being outperformed like Halladay, Webb and Smoltz.

In my other league, he got taken in the 10th round with the 110th pick! Granted, not everyone gets drafted comparably to where they perform this year (John Maine - 20th and 21st round), but why no love for Harang?

shhhh! I've drafted him the past two years and loved every bit of it. I took him in the 9th round this year w/ 98th pick <--- Big steal given what he has done.

He started the year off horribly. In late April, early May, he had 3 starts in a row where he gave up 5 runs... the last one he only had 2 ks. I guess that was a bit too bad for someone in my league who did the ultimate fb sin, and got impatient with him. I picked him up off waivers... talk about good value!
