Oakland left-fielder Shannon Stewart is probably one of a half-dozen or so players Hendry put in a claim for this week, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be wearing a Cubs uniform by the weekend. Most teams send the vast majority of their players through the waiver wires, so it means nothing if a player gets claimed unless the team putting him through waivers has the intention of making a deal. It’s all gamesmanship and high-stakes poker.

Well, he is at least supposed to rejoin the team this weekend.

Aug 9 The Sports Network reports the Chicago Cubs will be without 3B Aramis Ramirez (wrist) Thursday, Aug. 9. Ramirez will have his wrist examined Thursday and is expected to rejoin the team the next day, though his status for the weekend series is unknown.

News: Cubs manager Lou Piniella was waiting for the results of tests done on the right wrist of 3B Aramis Ramirez. "I don't know anything except that it isn't serious," Pinella said about Ramirez, who flew back to Chicago to see a hand specialist. "We could have him back for the weekend."

I have him active. I got so many injuries that I cant do anything.
Dropping any of them is not an option.
Lets hope he'll play on Tuesday, and start hitting HRs cause hes got as much (16) as J Buck, Alex Gonzales etc...
