Team A, in first place overall: Albert Pujols, Adam Dunn
Team B gives: Willy Taveras, Jake Peavy, and Izzy
Team A is first in WHIP and ERA, tied for first in wins, and has 8 points in K's and saves. It seems fishy that he is trading for guys that improve categories that he is already very strong in.
huh??? You're saying that the guy giving Pujols and Dunn is in first? That's more weird than anything else. I think the trade is vetoable, but I can't figure out why the first place owner would do that. Are you sure you didn't post it backwards? It's probably vetoable either way.
Why does where a person's place in the standings have any bearing on why you would veto? Should have nothing to do with it unless you are trying to prove collusion - which is obviously not the case here. Bad trade? Yeah, probably, but not vetoable.

Its not directly what with place hes in, but what his place is in certain categories. If I am leading wins and saves, and i trade away my best hitters to my buddy for more wins and saves, it looks a little sketchy...since it clearly benefits me in little or no way...
definitely not vetoable in my opinion. i could easily see an argument that peavy > pujols. willy t and izzy for dunn wouldnt be a bad deal either. this trade looks ok to me.

Because, especially in roto, there are cats to be made up late in the season. I don't love the deal but that makes more sense.
