Gallardo's job security

Hey, I've been offered a trade where I get Gallardo among others, and basically, lets just say the trade hinges on Gallardo having a spot in the rotation for the remainder of the season...

I know he was pushed to the bull pen earlier and when Sheets went down he stepped in, but now that hes tearing it up for them, do you think he'll have a spot in the rotation locked up even upon Sheet's return?

Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance

Well I doubt today's outing is going to lock down that spot in the rotation for him. Ugh.

As long as the brewers remain in the penant race it will be hard for them to just shut him down. However, I wouldn't be shocked if they did something like what Detroit did with Verlander did last year when they gave him extra days off now and then or skipped a start just to give him a little extra rest between some starts.

I'm in the same dilemma because I've been offered Gallardo. I haven't pulled the trigger because I'm wary that they'll either shut him down or use him sparingly. And obviously, yesterday's nuclear detonation doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
