Rember Wood's 7.30 ERA in the NLCS? I do.
You can base it on whatever years you want...going into this season there is not a better one-two punch than Schill and Pedro. Again, not even close.
Prior is obviously the real deal and rates right up there with Schill and Pedro (if not better).
But i'm sorry to break it you ya, Kerry Wood is no where near that class. He just doesn't have the consistency from start to start. He'll throw a shutout with 15k's one day and then get rocked for 10 runs over a couple of innings the next.
No thanks...i'll take a couple of pitchers that will dominate the hitters night in and night out.
