I don't touch torrents of anything HBO anymore. They're probably the most vigilant of trying to catch people. Having seen it happen myself and yes, from a mininova torrent, I'd recommend staying away from HBO.

Do people actually get caught/fined for downloading via torrents?

I haven't heard of being charged at this point but getting a letter from your ISP isn't at all uncommon. Maybe in the future those letters will bring charges.

I've downloaded 3 seasons of The Sopranos recently and haven't gotten anything. I only need 3 more so hopefully it'll stay that way.

Thats funny, because I having been downloading the same thing. Just got through Season 4 DL'ed and have watched the first 3. I didn't have HBO while growing up

That's great but unfortunately, all the episodes stop after 17 minutes or so.

Interesting...which episodes? I tried 8 and 9 and had the same issues.
