Phillips has put up good numbers for 2 years now, so I'd still take Phillips (I own both of them in both my keeper leagues).

Phillips has put up good numbers for 2 years now, so I'd still take Phillips (I own both of them in both my keeper leagues).

Phillips certainly isn't a wrong choice for fantasy purposes but Upton is 3 years younger and has maintained a .900+ OPS for well over 3 months.

I don't think being a Drays fan has anything to do with it. I imagine Upton will be 2nd on lots of lists this offseason if he keeps this OPS at or above .900. I know I have had Phillips on a few teams this year, and have loved every minute of it, but I would venture to say that Upton would be my #2 2nd basemen if the season ended right now for next year.

I personally like the consistancy of Roberts and Phillips over Upton, but that's just my personal preference.

What consistancy of Phillips? He has one year on Upton. Everyone keeps saying consistancy of Phillips, its only his second good season. Roberts i agree is consistant, but Phillips i wouldnt describe as consistant

To compare their numbers this year:

BJ 294 AB 16 HR 52 RBI 53 R .323 AVG 13 SB

Phillips 449 AB 21 HR 65 RBI 72 R .278 AVG 21 SB

150 less abs for Upton and a quad injury that has made the Rays not allow him to run and he is still that close
