He also has the most runs of any MLB 2B, and the second most RBI of any MLB 2B behind Utley. Oh and in leagues that count it, he also leads the Majors in XBH.

I didn't realize Figgins had 6 starts at 2B, so yeah, if he qualifies in your league, he'd be in the top 5 (definitely above Uggla). I'm not sure about Kendrick. Yeah, he'll get you a great average, but I have to see that he's going to give me 20/20 or even 15/15 before I start thinking about him in the top 5.

I tend to like Cano more than most people do I think. I don't own him in any leagues this season, but have been impressed and will weigh him as a strong option next season.

He's way too shaky for anyone to rely on him as their number one 2B.

He struggled this season mainly because of his surgically repaired wrist. Next season he should be 100%.

Which is like 0.01% of all fantasy baseball leagues. :-D

I don't have the numers off hand...but I don't think the drop off from Utley to Phillips is all that far anymore.

With the exception of Utley's .300 AVg, the difference isn't overwhelming.

Of course I'm in no way saying Phillips is "right on his heels"...but it isn't the HUGE drop off it was coming into the year from Utley to the next guy.

Well, he only had one year below .300 in the minors (back in 2002) and hit .281 last year, so I think its reasonable to think he's having an off-year in that department. I haven't studied all the underlying stuff, but I think he'll adjust to the .275 level which won't hurt you. Throw in 100+ runs and 90+ RBIs to the mix and I think he's WELL worth the investment at 2B.

i dont think he's elite but definetly warrants more talk over alot of guys.

Depends on when you can get him, but the answer to that in my mind is that a lot of times it is worth it.
