Morneau slump?

Postby keysersoze131313 » Tue Aug 07, 2007 12:56 pm

He has been 1-22 this past week. Thinking about trading for him- any reason to believe this is anything more than your normal slump? I've not heard any injury rumors, but wanted to ask around.

I wouldn't worry about him. This is the only stretch all season that he hasn't been studly.

Hopefully the slump will continue... thru this week to sunday... After that, he can go on a tear! ;-D

I traded Morneau and Pujols away in 2 separate trades, good thing too, Morneau has been ice cold, and Pujols though hitting the ball well, has lost some power... SOME not ALL... It even stated that on sunday, he was back in the lineup because of his wrist? So something may be wrong with BOTH, injury-wise! Though, nothing has been reported on Morneau as of yet, so who knows? :-?

I have a hard time believing this is anything other than a run of the mill slump.

Expect Morneau to go ape shiznit really soon.

he said trading FOR him, not trading HIM. i would trade for him in a heartbeat, if the other owner will trade him.

He got 2 hits last night and looked a lot better at the plate. Morneau's gonna hit, but he's had little help around him lately. If the Twins offense picks it up as a whole Morneau will get hot. Good time to trade for him if you can get him on the cheap.

Kudos to GiantsFan14 for the sig.

I rode the Morneau train all year but just traded him for Hafner/Smoltz to get some pitching help. I think Hafner should match what Morneau does going forward.

Hafner??? He's not that much better than Morneau right now PLUS he may be on the verge on going on the DL if the MRI doesn't come out good... you got owned on that deal. :-t Shoulda waited for a better offer.
