Russ Martin: Mildly Sprained Ankle

Aug 6 Ken Gurnick, of LosAngeles.Dodgers.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers C Russell Martin (ankle) sprained his right ankle sliding Friday, Aug. 3, although it is not that bad, according to Martin. "I play tough, but I'm not crazy," said Martin. "I had a sprained ankle in [Class A]. That was a lot worse than this one. That one swelled, this one didn't. About the only time I feel it is when I step hard on the bag -- then I feel a little pain. Straight ahead, it's fine. Side-to-side, sometimes I feel it. I tape it, and it's perfect. Really, it's not that bad."

I've only seen what was posted above, but he did play on Sunday, so I'm assuming he won't miss any time.

He`s already got an AB tonight (8/6). But he has been banged up a bit like a real catcher this year. He`s def. slowed down since the break.
