They can pretty much only say he is DTD right now until he is examined, mri and stuff. Most players are listed as DTD before the go to the dl.

and another Soriano update to vouch for my avoiding him in drafts

tough injury though, wonder what it will do to the Cubs performance, they'll obviously miss him but might still be able to hold onto the division

Just heard that Lou just said Soriano will be out a minimum two weeks, most likely a month

There might have been reasons to avoid drafting Soriano, but injury certainly couldn't have been one of them. The guy's had 660-plus ABs five straight years. No way you or anyone else could have predicted this.

The only reason he got hurt is 'cause I just traded for him a few days ago in a league with weekly lineups starting every Monday. Argh! (Hint, if you have Chone Figgins, dump him now, I got him as part of that deal too.)

oh not at all

wasnt trying to put it that way.... just saying that basically when you think it couldnt get any worse for a 1st round player, he hits the DL .... I avoided him because I didnt believe he'd knock in another 100 RBI and hit 46 bombs again

cant give myself too much credit though as I still managed to grab Hafner early in the 2nd round :-t

Yup ESPN.com says 2-4 weeks. Good thing I never ever pick this guy in any of my leagues.

Shoot. Somehow, Chris Young didn't get picked up until a few days ago. Damn! Now I need to find a CF and if he isn't on the DL soon I'm screwed with no roster room.
