Cain didn't win again

I'm so upset at that game last night with Vinnie Choke giving up the homer that tied it....man oh man.

I was surprised that Bochy pulled Cain when he did. He either should have been allowed to pitch through trouble, or he should have been sitting when that inning started. Considering how poorly Cain's been pitching lately, the Giants' faith in him must be a bit shaky these days. He couldn't have done any worse than Choke did....

Luck is so much a part of getting a W...Cain's #'s are similar to Noah Lowry, except Lowry has 12 frickin W's...heck, Zito has 8 W's and he blows even more!

Cain: 137.1 IP, 3-12, 3.93 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 107 K (7 K/9) - all respectable #'s except W's
Lowry: 132.2 IP, 12-7, 3.32 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 75 K (5.08 K/9) - higher WHIP, lower K rate, better ERA
Zito: 126.2 IP, 8-10, 5.12 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 86 K (6.11 K/9) - no comment

Cain's record in his quality starts (6 IP or more, 3 ER or less): 13 starts, 2-5 (6 ND). And of those 13 QS, 7 of them he gave up 1 ER or less and is 2-3 with 2 ND. There's so reason why he shouldn't have at least 8 W's this year...BAH!
