Im in a 5 x 5 keeper league and we are about to hold our supplemental FA / minor league draft. I would love input on who you guys think the next priors are coming out of the minor league system and who I should draft to hold. Maybe list a top 5 here. Please give me prospects for this year or next year that I should grab and hold. Guys like Wainwright or ZAch G. Your rankings of the top 5 with commentary would be very helpful.
Thanks

it eould be impossible to list just the STUDS and not the DUDS because all those listed are still prospects, which means they could turn out either way, and most of the time, its the wrong way. But the players most likely to become studs are probably Greinke, Mauer, and Wagner. Wagner has got heat, Greinke has been compared to Maddux and has good control (key to turning from a good minor leaguer to good major leaguer) and Mauer, the job is his and hes got the tools.

I would say those are the top 5 prospects this year, there are some other guys who you can look towards for 2005 also if you want.
1. Prince Fielder 1B
2. Josh Barfield 2B
3. Dallas McPherson - 3B
4. Jason Stokes - 1B
5. Greg Miller - P

I looked at fielder but does he have a realistic shot at the biggs this year or next?- Already have stokes locked up I think he will be a beast, but even he is still 1 or 2 years away.

Where is
Delmon Young on this list? Because He will be better than anyone that has been mentioned.... I would rank Delmon Young the best prospect in all of Minor League baseball, but he is not gonna make an impact until '05... But keep your eyes open!
