i dont know if you guys can notice this kinda thing or not, but did the cramps jus come up in that inning or had they been buggin him all day?

im not gonna complain about the outing(cause it was a nice one indeed overall)

but 7 walks?? in 5 innings?? must of been some good D out there or getting lucky only giving up 1 earned on a HR with those 7 walks.

I'm not sure. It's a really hot day, that's for sure. He had control issues right from the get-go. On 2 occasions he had bases loaded or 2 on and struck out players in key situations. That's pretty much how he got out with only 1 ER. He came up with a lot of key strikeouts. I wouldn't be too worried about the control.

This is Big Z's downfall...too many BB...and concerning the cramping, it's in the mid 90's today AGAIN here in Chi-town, too many pitches in 5 innings with 7 BB and 5 K's...he should be fine.

It's hot as hell here today, and Big Z is called "Big" for good reason. They say it was just heat-related cramps.
