Just heard on the mariner postgame that Coach Mcclaren is having Jones called up on friday.

where did you come across this information. he has a note attached to his name in yahoo that says this "Jim Street, of Mariners.MLB.com, reports Seattle Mariners OF Adam L. Jones will remain at Triple-A Tacoma for now. Mariners manager John McLaren is happy with the starting outfielders he has now, and he does not want to call up Jones until he would be able to play everyday." can you provide a source for your info. ive had him stashed for a month now, just waiting.

Jones is likely to be called up from Triple-A Tacoma this week, the Seattle Times reports.
Spin: Jones should have been up with the big league club some time ago, but apparently the Mariners wanted to wait to see how the trade deadline shook out. Jones is hitting .312/.380/.579 with 24 homers, 26 doubles and six triples at Tacoma.

Just dropped Ryan Raburn for Jones. Would Jones start in LF over Ibanez? Definitely not CF over Ichiro...RF over Guillen?

Everything I've read says that Jones will take Ibanez's OF spot, Ibanez will become the DH, and no more Jose Vidro...he blows as a DH anyway. Not your stereotypical DH. Hopefully this will let Ibanez's bat come back to life.

...exactly where Jones fits in is undecided. The bulk of his playing time is expected to be in left field.

I can't see them benching Ibanez, so I'd also guess that he would go to DH.
