Pitching in Long Relief tonight in place of Claudio Vargas and looking really good. Is there any chance he could take the spot of anyone in the Brewers rotation this season?

WIth the way the starting staff has done so far, I would think that the Brewers would (at least should) give this kid every opportunity. Capuano, Suppan and Bush are hovering around ERA's of 5 and Vargas got lit up tonight. It will be hard to hold off Chicago and the rest of the division with pitching like this. Even less of a chance of winning any playoff series.

The young guns like Gallardo and Parra are really jumping to the occasion. I honestly think Vargas and Parra should swap spots. Parra has only had 1 start this season and gained a ND but he did surrender the Mets to only 1 run in his long relief appearance. That should be enough to hopefully get Parra another start?

Cap struggled again tonight. Also, wasn't Bush a closer at Wake Forest, any chance they move him to the pen and open up a spot for Parra? Hoping some Brewers insiders can get some info out there, even though Parra struggled in his last relief appearance, he's been pretty good since the callup, and I'd think a team contending for a division title would want to be playing the best players in the best spots.

The rumor around Milwaukee is that once Sheets comes back they are going to be moving Vargas into the Bullpen and they will be keeping Gallardo in the starting rotation. As far as Bush moving to the bullpen, I have not heard anything. I think it would be a good idea to try it atleast and see how Parra performs in the starting rotation. I would say the chances of that happening though are slim to none.
