I just ran across this on one of the news channels. This is pretty unbelievable.

It looks like the Twins/Royals game is going to be postponed tomorrow and the Cleveland series could be affected this weekend as well.

I hope my wife doesn't see this story. She's always worried this stuff will happen when we cross a bridge.

yeah, how many times have you guys ridden over a bridge and discuss with friends/family what you'd do if the bridge collapsed? i know it seems to happy a lot for me.

CNN actually has a video of the bridge collapsing. The video is stop-frame and appears to have been taken from a security camera.

When I saw that the Twins/Royals game was PPD this morning my first thought was, "How in the world do you rain out the Metrodome?". Condolences to those who died.

yeah i saw that. at first they said it doesnt appear to have terroristic ties, but im hearing some whispers that something fishy may have happened.

Man, that's terrible. This now makes you think about all those highways and bridges out there that could be unsafe to drive on. I've seen some pictures on CNN, but haven't seen the video yet. Supposedly they were saying when it was first built that there were a couple of cracks, but it was never bad enough to do something about it. They had done an inspection recently, and said the same. Interesting to see how this develops.
