Embree got the save tonight, will Huston Close this season?

Depends on his health. If indeed he is healthy, he'll definately close again. He got hit hard on Sunday but pitched well the game after. With Embree being as effective as he has been, I don't think they're gonna rush Street back, but it's inevitable that he'll close again.

If it's his arm strength, then why wouldn't they build it up in the minors where he won't hurt the team? I think that they probably have plans to simply ease him in and it looks like it may take some time. I can't see Embree remaining the closer too long if Street is healthy and effective. Embree isn't a prototypical closer but rather a good set-up man.

I completely agree...Street has nice potential, but all of those guys are currently closers...I'd probably go with Jenks first, although the White Sox BLOW right now, JoBo has been fairly solid lately and is on a better team...

knowing that, him having street on his roster is pretty mindboggling...

every FA closer has like a 40.50 ERA for me, because i pick one up and he has a terrible outing, i drop him and pick another one up who happens to have the worst outing of the season on that day, over and over. i got tired of it and picked up street and just been waiting it out. it's a 6 team league but one team abandoned saves. i think only 15 or 16 closers are claimed right now. if you were curious. so whoever i get will just F me up. i'm in a close 2nd behind the guy with saito putz and nathan. i feel like i can catch him with 5 closers.
