Do roto leagues have any sort of playoffs, or is it just whoever is in first place at the end of the season? Thanks

It depends on the league you're in. Some leagues have playoffs, some don't.

most leagues do not. whoever finishes with the most points generally is coined champion.

I've never been in one that does, but that's not to say playoffs don't exist for them. The answer to your question is as far as I know, no, however I'm not sure completely.
