First roto draft ever

This spring will be my first roto draft ever. I would like to find two information sources before I go into it. Can anyone tell me where to find the following.

1. The compilation of mock drafts showing on average where players are taken.

2. I would also like to know on average what the totals are for the leaders of each of the categories in a standard 5x5 league are with 10 teams ( exp. how many hr the guy who wins the cat ends up with).

ESPN's only been up a few days, but they keep their average draft position stats pretty up to date.

Don't know how to help you with part II. Someone might be able to provide info from their league(s) from years gone by. I should think you'll be able to do fine without it. Just be real well prepared, have a plan in mind and don't lose your cool under the pressure, but at the same time react to the mistakes of others.

Be sure to check out the 'cheat sheets' tab over on the left hand side. That'll take you to the mock drafts as well.

Just hang around here and take things in. Lots of good advice to be found.

Does your league use CI or MI, or just 2B, SS, 1B, 3B? Regardless, you should enter any draft with a ranking of players at each position deep enough that you won't be at a loss if you don't get one of the top 3-4 guys. That'll make you prepared.

Another thing to do, especially with the later round guys, is to have a sense of where they will help and hurt you. Towards the end/late-middle of a draft is when you should start balancing out your team. Plugging in holes with guys who will help shore up weak spots. Trevisc just made an excellent 14th round selection in Keeper Mock Draft II. He picked up Alex Sanchez. That will give him SBs, may help his average, and won't hurt in runs.
